Robby Frost, Chairperson
Robby is a first year PhD student in the School of Meteorology and is serving as the SAC Chair for the 2026-2027 academic year. He works at the Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC) to study tornado formation with radar, lidar, and numerical models for his dissertation. Hailing from Prague, OK and Plano, TX, Robby received his Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology and Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Oklahoma and has been heavily involved with student leadership, including serving as the president of the Oklahoma Weather Lab in undergrad and the M.S. representative on SAC last year. He hopes to build upon previous leadership experience and continue to work to enhance the sense of community for students in the School of Meteorology.
Colin is a first year PhD student in the School of Meteorology and is serving as the SAC Vice Chair for the 2026-2027 academic year. Originally from Frisco, Texas, Colin has been a member of the University of Oklahoma community for 6 years, graduating with both his Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology and his Master’s degree in Meteorology from OU. His research is on radiative processes in tropical cyclones throughout their lifecycles, with an emphasis on high-resolution modeling. Colin has served across a multitude of boards in his time in Norman, including as the treasurer of the Oklahoma Weather Lab, as well as previous positions in SAC and SCAN, and continues to volunteer in SoMO. He is excited to contribute to improving communication, belonging, and involvement between the student body and faculty within the school!

Marissa Krautbauer, Undergraduate Vice-Chairperson
Marissa is a Senior in the School of Meteorology and is serving as the Undergraduate Vice-Chair for the 2026-2027 school year. As a native Oklahoman, Marissa chose to attend OU to further her education. Outside of SAC, Marissa is the President of SCAN and a member of both the AMS Board of Student Affairs Student Conference Planning Committee and the Outreach and Engagement Committee. Marissa hopes to major in meteorology and minor in communication in an effort to improve weather communication in the future.
Jane is a 2nd year Master’s student in the School of Meteorology (SoM) serving as the 2026-2027 external affair coordinator. She is originally from the DC area and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Atmospheric Science and Earth, Society and Environmental sustainability. As a graduate student her research focuses on Subseasonal to Seasonal (S2S) predictability with a focus on East Africa Precipitation. Since moving to Norman she has been involved with SoM’s outreach group and is excited to help plan upcoming events for SAC. She hopes to create events fostering connections between Faculty, Undergrad and Graduate students as well as other building employees.

Vanessa is a first year PhD student in the School of Meteorology and is serving as Secretary for the 2026-2027 academic year. She is originally from Camdenton, MO, and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Meteorology from the University of Oklahoma. Vanessa works at OU’s Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis, where she studies how different stakeholders receive, understand, and respond to varying weather and climate hazards. In addition to SAC, she is involved with the School of Meteorology’s Outreach group, the Student Conference Planning Committee for AMS, and is serving as a Co-Chair in Training for the AMS Board of Student Affairs. She hopes to expand upon previous SAC boards’ work to build open lines of communication between Faculty, Staff, and Students.

Shu-Hsuan Lin, International Representative
Shu-Hsuan is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Meteorology (SoM) at the University of Oklahoma, running for International Representative. Originally from Taiwan, she is passionate about understanding tropical climate systems. Her current research focuses on the tropical-stratospheric interactions and the role of cloud radiative feedback. Beyond research, Shu-Hsuan is enthusiastic about cultural exchange and community engagement. With a background in education from the Teaching Education Program at the National Taiwan Normal University, she is actively involved in the SoM’s outreach group, helping to develop science curricula and engage in school visits for students.
Willow is a second year M.S. student in the School of Meteorology and is serving as the Access and Opportunities Officer for the 2026-2027 school year. They are originally from Aurora, Illinois, a far west suburb of Chicago, and earned their bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University. As an undergraduate, Willow served as the Public Relations Chair for the NIU chapter of the American Meteorological Society, fostering community and engagement within the meteorology program. As a graduate student at the University of Oklahoma, their research is focused on analyzing three-dimensional wind field proxies in mesoscale convective systems using data assimilation techniques and phased array radar. Willow is also serving as the graduate representative of OU SCAN, and their primary goal of service is to help students find their own path to success and fulfillment while maintaining a supportive academic community.

Nathan Erickson, PhD Representative
Nathan is a third-year PhD student in the School of Meteorology. A native of Olathe, KS, Nathan earned his B.S. and M.S. in meteorology from Iowa State University before coming to OU for his PhD. His research is on the development and application of novel explainable AI techniques for applications in the convective weather space. Beyond serving as the PhD Representative for SAC, he also serves on the AMS Committee on Probability and Statistics.
Kelsey is a second year Master’s student in the School of Meteorology and is serving as the M.S. Representative for the 2026-2027 school year. Originally from Melbourne, FL, she earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Meteorology and Computational Mathematics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL where she competed on the Division II softball team. At the University of Oklahoma, her research focuses on the environmental processes that support consecutive mesoscale convective systems. Additionally, she has served as Vice Chair and currently is Co-Chair of the School of Meteorology Outreach club.

Logan is a junior in the School of Meteorology serving as the Junior Representative for the 2026-2027 academic year. Originally from Overland Park, KS, Logan came to OU to continue his education and explore his fascination with weather and the atmospheric sciences. Outside of SAC, Logan also serves as the Junior Representative on the SCAN board and is a member of the OU Integrity Council. He hopes to use his major in meteorology and minors in math and psychology to pursue research into weather communication.
