Note: There are some small bugs in this template as it relates to the margins and table of contents. We will try to find a permanent fix and update the template, but until then you can fix these bugs by reverting the TeX Live Compiler from "2022" back to "2021" (see https://www.overleaf.com/blog/new-feature-select-your-tex-live-compiler-version#How-Switch). Master's and Ph.D. Planners
The Excel templates below let you keep track of and plan out your credit hours by semester to ensure you are on pace to meet graduation requirements for your degree. They also contain information on the required total credit hours and the breakdown of hours by type (graded courses, independent study restrictions, etc.). Every degree plan will be unique and may take longer or shorter than is shown. The template is modifiable so you can tailor it to suit your individual plan.
Note: If you have your Master's from a different university, see Danika about how your Master's hours will transfer toward your Ph.D. requirements.
Additionally, we have provided examples of completed Master's and Ph.D. templates. THESE ARE FICTIONAL EXAMPLES - NOT A PLAN YOU MUST FOLLOW. Their purpose is to provide different examples of how classes, independent study, and research hours may fit into your plan.
Note: To edit the following templates, click File --> Save as Google Sheets or File --> Download as Microsoft Excel document.
Surveys
Have you taken a graduate course outside of the department? Tell us about it here so we can share the information with other students.
Check out our list of current feedback about outside-of-SoM courses here.
SAC has created a survey to track trends amongst graduate advisors. We ask that all graduate students take it once a year, but feel free to fill it out when any issues arise. This information is kept strictly confidential to the Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and DEIJ Advocate, and we will reach out to you if any information were to be taken to the School. You can provide your feedback here.

Off-Campus Housing Resources
SAC has begun collecting information on common graduate student housing situations in SoM via our Housing Survey. These data include rent amounts, utilities information, NWC commute time, student reviews, and much more for many rental companies in and around Norman. It is hoped that this resource will provide incoming and current graduate students with a convenient, centralized location to obtain high-quality housing information, allowing greater peace of mind in a crucial aspect of graduate life.
