Financial Relief Resources

It is an unfortunate reality that students often face significant financial strain during their educational journeys. University resources are available for students in need of financial assistance due to an unexpected expense, such as (but not limited to) a sudden medical expense. 

• OU Student Relief Fund: Awards grants to students with documented, unforeseen financial need.

• International Student Emergency Relief Scholarship: Provides emergency assistance to international students who have experienced emergencies leading to unexpected financial obligations they are unable to meet.

• For medical expenses: if you have any questions about your expenses (including prescriptions) or want to make sure you aren’t paying more than necessary, contact the Student Health Plan office at shp@ou.edu or 405-325-1826.
